CONCERNING
ADDITION OF PRECURSOR TYPES

THE HEAD OF NATIONAL AGENCY OF DRUG AND FOOD CONTROL,

Considering:

a. that there is additional precursor types that are stipulated to be controlled internationally by the International Narcotics Control Board who controls narcotics, psychotropics and precursors;
b. that in relation to the foregoing, it is necessary to stipulate with a Decision of the Head of National Agency of Drug and Food Control.

In view of:

1. Law No. 23/1992 on Health Affairs (Statute Book of 1992 No. 100, Supplement to Statute Book No. 3495);
2. Law No. 5/1997 on Psychotropic (Statute Book of 1997 No. 10, Supplement to Statute Book No. 3671);
3. Law No. 7/1997 on Ratification of United Nations Convention Against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, 1988 (to Statute Book of 1997 No. 17, Supplement to Statute Book No. 3673);
4. Law No. 22/1997 on Narcotics (Statute Book of 1997 No. 67, Supplement to Statute Book No. 3698);
5. Presidential Decree No. 103/2001 on Status, Duties, Functions, Authorities, Organisational Structure and Work Procedures of Non Departmental Government Institutions as amended by Presidential Decree No. 3/2002;
6. Presidential Decree No. 110/2001 on Organisation Unit and Duties of Echelon I in Non Departmental Government Institutions, as amended by Presidential Decree No. 5/2002;
7. Decree of he Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. 917/Menkes/SK/VIII/1997 on Types of Psychotropic Precursors;
8. Decree of he Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. 890/Menkes/SK/VIII/1998 on Types of Narcotic Precursors;
9. Decision of the Head of National Agency of Drug and Food Control No. 02001/SK/KBPOM on Organisation and Work Procedure of National Agency of Drug and Food Control.

DECIDES:

To stipulate:

Firstly:

Decision of the Head of National Agency of Drug and Food Control on Addition of Precursor Types.

Second:

To add and change the types of precursors that are listed in table I of Attachment to the Decree of the Minister of Health No. 917/Menkes/SK/1997 dated August 25, 1997 and Decree of the Minister of Health No. 890/Menkes/SK/1998 dated August 24, 1998 with addition and change of substances as precursors:

1. Anhydride acetate: 2915.24.000 (HS Number)
2. Potassium Permanganate: 2841.61.000 (HS Number)
3. Norefedrin: 2939.49.000 (HS Number)

Third:

Provisions concerning monitoring and control of precursors as specified in the attachment will be stipulated later.

Fourth:

This decision shall come into force as from the date of stipulation.

For public cognizance, this decision shall be announced by placing it in the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia.
